Bobrisky Pleads Guilty to Naira Abuse

In a significant legal development, the Federal High Court in Lagos handed down a conviction to the controversial cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, for the offense of abusing the Naira.

Justice Abimbola Awogboro presided over the case and delivered the verdict following a thorough review of the facts presented.

During his allocutus, Bobrisky informed the court that he was unaware of the law regarding the abuse of the national currency. He emphasized his role as a social media influencer with a substantial following of over five million individuals.

However, the judge reiterated the principle that ignorance of the law does not excuse one from its consequences.

He said, “I know, My Lord. My Lord, I wish that you could give me a second chance to use my platform to inform and educate my followers about spraying money.

“I would do a video on my page and I will educate people about spraying money.

“I will not repeat it again. I regret my actions.”

He then pleaded guilty to the four counts of naira abuse preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
