Beach Eagles Draw Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast
The Beach Eagles have been drawn in Group A to play Ghana, Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire ahead 2016 AFCON. The event is scheduled to hold from December 13-18 at the Eko Atlantic City, Lagos State.
Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee of the tournament, Seyi Akinwunmi disclosed this at the weekend.
Also, Akinwunmi assured that the competition will set a mark for other major beach soccer competitions globally.
Beach Eagles: We Want To Host And Win
According to him, Nigeria is poised to emerge champions and qualify automatically for the World Cup in Bahamas.
“We are committed to hosting the best ever CAF Beach Soccer Championship. Our tenor is on putting up a world class event. We believe that with the support we have received from Ministry of Youth and Sports, the NFF, the Lagos State Government, we will deliver.”
