German champions Bayern Munich spanked Besiktas 5-0 on Tuesday in a round of 16 Champions League first leg tie.
Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski scored a brace each with Kingsley Coman adding one as Bayern ran out 5-0 winners.
Besiktas’ task was made difficult as Domagoj Vida received a straight red card for a foul on Robert Lewandowski in the 16th minute.
As the game wore on, Thomas Mueller fired the Bundensliga champions in from close range, minutes before the interval.
And just eight minutes into the second half, Kingsley Coman made it 2-0, rushing in from deep to finish off a Lewandowski cutback.
However, the Bavarians were not done as Mueller bagged his second of the night in the 66th minute, before Lewandowski grabbed a double in the 79th and 88th minutes to cap off a 5-star performance.
The return leg holds in Turkey in two weeks.
