President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on social media Lauretta Onochie has claimed that politicians in the South-South are arming youths in the region.

Concise News understands that Onochie said this in a reaction to the alleged sporadic shooting in Nembe, Bayelsa State ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.

In a tweet on her handle, she claimed that leaders of the region are versed in giving arms to youths but would never allow their children to take part in violence.

She went ahead to share a video of the alleged shooting Bayelsa and wrote that elections are seen as a war in the oil-rich region.

“Shooting in Nembe, Bayelsa State,” she tweeted. “Our Security operatives have one hell of a job this weekend!

“Most of our South-South leaders are versed at arming our youth who would never ask why the children of such leaders are not part of the warfare. It’s always war, not [an] election.”
