Ayade Loses Senatorial Election To PDP’s Jarigbe

The Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade, has lost to the Senator representing Northern Senatorial District of Cross River in the National Assembly elections.

Senator Jarigbe, a Peoples Democratic Party lawmaker, garnered 76,145 against 56,595 votes polled by Ayade in the exercise.

The returning officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Dr. Emmanuel Emanghe, declared Jarigbe winner of the election on Monday .

This is as he commended stakeholders for peaceful conduct and all security agents for giving the needed security support which invariably led to successful and credible election.
