Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi, Eze Nwachukwu, says the party is re-positioning ahead of the 2019 general election.
According to him, the nationwide state congresses held on Saturday, July 29, across the federation, was part of the processes aimed at repositioning the party for victory.
Nwachukwu, who spoke in an interview with NAN, said the 39 party members elected at the congress would vote at the National Delegates’ Convention.
“As we approach the 2019 general elections, the party is beginning to reposition itself and to re-strategise its tactics to ensure success in the elections.
“The hitch-free state delegate election held on Saturday, July 29 and supervised by Mr Abdulkadir Shehu-Nephantou to select Ebonyi delegates for the August National Delegates’ Convention is an indication of the party’s resolve to put its act in order as we approach the 2019 election year.
“What we are doing as a party in Ebonyi is to make sure that we fully reposition the party in order to wrest power from the ruling People’s Democratic Party, ” Nwachukwu said.
