APC Refutes PDP’s Claims, Highlights Sanwo-Olu’s Achievements

The Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly denied the allegations made by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) regarding Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s first-term achievements, particularly in relation to poverty and unemployment rates.

In a statement released by the PDP’s Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Hakeem Amode, the party expressed surprise at Governor Sanwo-Olu’s claim that he had met the expectations of the residents during his second-term swearing-in ceremony.

The PDP described the Governor’s T.H.E.M.E.S. agenda as a complete failure, further questioning the allocation of budgetary funds over the past four years in comparison to previous administrations.

Dismissing the allegations, the APC’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Seye Oladejo, swiftly responded with a statement on Wednesday, emphasizing that the residents of Lagos State continue to take pride in the party’s accomplishments in various sectors.

He highlighted the APC’s achievements in public transportation, healthcare, education, environmental preservation, job creation, tourism, security and safety, sports, as well as youth and women development.

Oladejo said: “Our attention has been drawn to the jaundiced remark of the former main opposition party in Lagos State – PDP – as regards the achievements of Governor Sanwo-olu in his first term in office.

“There is no better response to this than the referendum that the last gubernatorial election in Lagos State represented with the massive votes for Sanwo-Olu across the length and breadth of the state and across ethnic, religious and gender divides.

“It was an eloquent testimony to the glittering performance of the state government in all sectors as represented by the much acknowledged THEMES mantra.”
