APC Has Managed Economy Well, Says Uzodinma

The Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), Hope Uzodinma, has praised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for its performance amidst the global economic downturn. Uzodinma, who is also the Governor of Imo State, acknowledged the economic hardship facing Nigeria but attributed it to worldwide financial challenges. He assured Nigerians that the country would soon overcome these difficulties.

Governor Uzodinma made these remarks on Monday after leading a delegation of three other forum members to visit the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja. Following a closed-door meeting with Ganduje, Uzodinma spoke to the press, emphasizing that the current economic hardship is a global issue.

He highlighted the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, stating that effective policies are being implemented to steer Nigeria out of its economic troubles. Despite the challenges, Uzodinma expressed confidence in the government’s ability to improve the nation’s economic situation.

“The truth of the matter is that the APC has done very well in Nigeria. What is happening currently, is a global economic problem.

“We in Nigeria under our own leadership, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is also bringing out policies to ensure, given the kind of economy he met, given the kind of situation he saw when he came, he has started the treatment and by the grace of God, I am very confident that very soon Nigerians will be jubilant about how he has managed to navigate the waters,” he said.
