W/Cup Qualifier: Amoo Cautions Eagles On Tactical Approach

Former Super Eagles assistant coach Fatai Amoo has advised the team to be ready for tactical battle against Algeria.
The Super Eagles will confront the Desert Foxes (Fennec) on Saturday in a Group B World Cup qualifier in Uyo.
Nigeria are the group leaders with 3 points, while Cameroon and Algeria trail in second and third with a point apiece, with Zambia at the bottom.
And Amoo, who had a chat with the News Agency of Nigeria, expects a difficult game for the Eagles. He called on the players to be ready to fight as the Algerians will come at them.
Crucial games require tactical approach
“The match against Algeria is very crucial and as such needs all tactical approaches and all seriousness to win.
Algeria are coming into the game off the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw at home with Cameroon. And under new manager Georges Leekens, the North Africans will want to bounce back to reckoning.
To this end, Amoo is calling on Eagles manager Gernot Rohr to utilise all tactical options that will effectively put the Algerians in check.
“The match against Algeria is very crucial and as such needs all tactical approaches and all seriousness to win.
“The technical crew must put in all their efforts to ensure there are no technical lapses or errors at the teams’ expense,” Amoo advised.
