Cabinet Shake-up: Ambode Fires 3 Commissioners

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state has shaken up his cabinet with the sacking of three commissioners on Wednesday.

Those affected are the Commissioner for Finance Mr Folorunsho Folarin-Coker; Commissioner for Tourism Dr. Mustapha Akinkunmi, and Commissioner for Transport Dr. Ekundayo Mobereola.

No reason was, however, given for their disengagement.

A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tunji Bello, announced the cabinet reshuffle.

Two Special Advisers, one Permanent Secretary to take charge

The statement said Ambode directed the Special Adviser, Arts and Culture to take over as the Acting Commissioner for Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

The Special Adviser on Transportation will take over as Acting Commissioner for Transportation, while the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance will take charge as the Acting Commissioner for Finance, pending the appointment of new Commissioners in the respective ministries.

The governor thanked the former Commissioners for their service to the State and wished them well in their future endeavours.
