Aisha Buhari Prays For Nigerian Mothers

President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has expressed ingenious gratitude to supporters who joined her in prayers during and after the wedding of her daughter, Zahra Buhari.

Mrs Buhari, appreciated and prayed to God, on Monday via facebook, for mothers in Nigeria to witness their daughters nuptials.

“On behalf of my family, I express my profound gratitude to friends and well wishers who joined me to celebrate the wedding of my daughter, Zahra,” the post read.

“It is my prayer that God will make it possible for us to all witness same with our children, thank you and God bless us all,” Mrs Buhari said.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari gave his daughter out in marriage to Ahmed Indimi, a business man from Borno.

The wedding Fatiha (opening) took place after the two Raka’at Jumma’at Prayer at the National Mosque, Abuja.

Indimi Family Paid 12 Gold Coins As Dowry

The Indimi family, paid 12 gold coins which was converted and valued at N250,000, for the dowry.

The Sarkin Fulanin Daura, Alhaji Yusuf Sani, gave the bride who is the 7th child, out on behalf of the Buhari family.

Buhari, who later arrived at about 2:00pm, was accompanied by the President of Guinea Conakry, Alpha Conde. They were accompanied by a number of aides.

Zahra runs an NGO called ACE Charity Foundation, which primarily offers free medical care for sickle cell anemia patients.

The groom (Ahmed Indimi) expressed his sincere gratitude to friends and well wishers.

Dignitaries in attendance included, former Vice Presidents Atiku Abubakar and Namadi Sambo, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, as well as Chief Bisi Akande. Also in attendance were Gov. Rauf Aregbesola of Osun  Gov.Nasir El-rufai of Kaduna State, and also Gov. Umaru Almakura of Nasarawa. Gov. Yahaya Bello and also Gov. Aminu Masari of Kogi and Sokoto states respectively were present too among others.

Also present during the event were, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, former EFCC boss, Nuhu Ribadu, Sen. Ali-Modu Sheriff as well as APC National leader, Bola Tinubu.
