Air Force Graduates New Batch Of Squad To Protect National Assets

Strengthening Force Protection Capabilities through Rigorous Training

In a significant step towards enhancing the capacity of its personnel in force protection and safeguarding critical national assets, the Regiment Training Centre (RTC) of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Base Kaduna celebrated the graduation of a new batch of 151 Regiment personnel.

This batch, comprising 10 officers and 141 airmen/airwomen, successfully completed the Critical Asset Protection Squad Course (CAPSC) 4/2023 on June 9, 2023.

Emphasizing Discipline and Professionalism for National Security

During the graduation ceremony, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), delivered an inspiring message to the graduands.

He urged them to maintain a high level of discipline and professionalism while applying the knowledge acquired during the course to enhance their skills.

Air Marshal Amao emphasized the significance of their roles in benefitting both the Nigerian Air Force and the nation as a whole.

Representing the CAS, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Aliyu Bello highlighted the NAF’s commitment to adapt to the evolving security landscape by implementing new processes aligned with the CAS’s vision of strengthening critical airpower capabilities for national security imperatives.

Recognizing Excellence in Training and Capacity Development

Air Marshal Amao commended the Air Officer Commanding, Ground Training Command (AOC-GTC), the Commandant, staff, and instructors of RTC for their dedicated efforts in training the fourth batch of CAPSC.

Unlike the previous courses that received assistance from the Israeli Four Troop Security Company, this batch’s training was conducted entirely by the RTC.

The Chief of the Air Staff acknowledged the RTC’s exceptional job in molding and equipping the graduating students with essential skills, knowledge, and the right attitude required for efficient base defense and force protection responsibilities.
