Highly-rated teenage striker, Ademola Lookman, has caught the eye of Everton manager, Ronald Koeman.

The 19-year old has been in scintillating form for Charlton Athletic in the English League One.

The BBC reports that Director of Football, Steve Walsh, has made the signing a priority and the move is likely to go through quickly as manager Ronald Koeman starts what is expected to be a busy January.

When asked about Lookman at his press conference on Wednesday ahead of Friday’s Premier League away match with Hull, Koeman said: “There is interest for the boy, yes.”

Everton is also expected to complete deals for Manchester United pair Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin in January with Schneiderlin valued at £20m.

Schneiderlin has been told he can leave Old Trafford by manager Jose Mourinho while Depay has become surplus to requirements too.

The transfer window opens this weekend.
