The family of late Senator Isiaka Adeleke has shunned the Coroner inquest instituted by Governor Rauf Aregbesola to investigate the cause of the death of the Senator.
Members of the panel include: Chief Magistrate, Olusegun Ayilara; Commissioner of Police in Osun State, Fimihan Adeoye; Executive Director of Biket Hospital, Dr. Adebisi Adenle; Executive Secretary, Ede South Local Government, Johnson Ojo.
Adeleke’s death was followed by controversy and speculations as many have alleged that he was killed by some politicians within the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.
Before his burial, his son, Tunji, ordered an autopsy to be done on his late father due to suspicion that his sudden death was not a natural one.
Meanwhile, the Coroner inquest which started its sitting in Osogbo on Wednesday invited two siblings of the late Adeleke: Deji Adeleke and Dupe Adeleke-Sani and Dele but both failed to oblige the invite.
The chairman of the inquest, Ayilara said they have issued summons to them to appear before it on Wednesday but disappointed the members of the inquest which were all present.
He however said the committee would issue another summon to them and make sure they were present during the sittings.
The Coroner inquest was then adjourned till May 15th to take the evidence which Ayilara said they could not take today (Wednesday) due to logistics reasons.
