ACF Describes Senate Invasion As Attack On Democracy

The Northern socio-political group, Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), has described the invasion of the Senate by suspected thugs as an attack on democracy and the height of irresponsibility.

Reacting to the incident, the group in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary of the Forum, Muhammad Biu, condemned the invasion and the stealing of mace by the thugs.

Biu called on security agencies to protect the seat of democracy, the National Assembly, and institute investigations into the “ugly incident.”

The statement read, “The Arewa Consultative Forum condemns the attack on the citadel of democracy.

“It is the height of irresponsibility on the part of the perpetrators of this unruly behaviour, to say the least.

“Security agencies should not only protect the seat of democracy, National Assembly but also institute investigations into the ugly incident.”
