2019 AFCON: My Plans Against Super Eagles – Guinea Coach

Put is a former Ivory Coast coach/Goal Nigeria.

Guinea coach Paul Put has said his team will leave no room for defensive errors when they take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Wednesday.

The West Africans drew 1-1 with debutants Madagascar in their first game, no thanks to a defensive miss up by Put’s men.

Nigeria, on the other hand, pipped minnows Burundi 1-0 courtesy of an Odion Ighalo beautiful strike in the 77th minute.

Speaking on his plans against Nigeria, Put said such magnitude of error which gifted Madagascar an equaliser on Saturday, must be avoided.

“I think we have quality in the team. I think we dominated a big part of the game [against Madagascar],” the gaffer added.

But we may not make those faults behind in our organization against Nigeria.

“No excuses if you make mistakes against Nigeria, it will be difficult.”
